MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
• Receive and resolve requests, as first line of support, from business users, issues revolving around the in-house trading application and its associated components including Trading Tools, GRID, EOD batch processing, etc…
• Identify and resolve high to critical complex production problems for support of applications.
• Work with various technical teams to develop and manage the execution of implementation plans for high to critical complex new application and maintenance updates.
• Monitor and analyze services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommends solutions that may cross multiple teams, functions and processes.
• Support existing data feeds
• Will be first line of support for all in-house trading application related issues. Will be the primary point of contact for each line of business with respect to the in-house trading application platform. Responsible for managing the various in-house trading application related environments with a focus on the production environment. Individuals will be responsible for managing pipeline related in-house trading application releases. Knowledge of derivatives, commodities and structured products is required.

Subject Matter Expertise:
• Technical Troubleshooting--Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.
• Application Delivery Process--Knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, formal methodologies and disciplines for delivering new or enhanced applications.

Extensive Work Experience:
• Experience with Derivatives application support is highly recommended
• Knowledge of Unix, Windows operating systems is required
• Experience with software development life cycle processes
• Working knowledge of network technologies
• Experience with multi-tier application architecture and design
• Exposure to web style application architecture and design. Exposure to relational databases, modeling and management.
• Development skills that would enable troubleshooting, editing .bat scripts. These development skills should include C# and .NET
• Understanding of BANK internal processes and technology standards. Creative thinker and problem solver.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to deliver on schedule.
• Experience with a formalized project management process/methodology
• CSC, and experience in the brokerage industry an asset
• Relationship Management--Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers.
• Systems Software Infrastructure--Knowledge of the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
