Senior IT Solutions Developer

Particular emphasis on Java/J2EE (WEB), Apache Tomcat, MS SQL, SSIS, VB, .NET.

The candidate must be capable of working on multiple activities simultaneously in a highly dynamic and multifaceted environment and he/she is required to understand complex requirements and meet project deadlines. He/she will also perform application tests and verification before and after deployments.
A solid software development background is essential for success in this role; as such the candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
•Swift and error free software delivery of strategic business initiatives and projects (agile development)
•Dedication and expert knowledge when assisting in the releases of enhancements/upgrades to the existing systems and ability to perform configuration changes as pertained to application deployment and upgrade schedules
•Ability to work well in a team environment (knowledge sharing, teamwork)
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
The candidate should possess majority of the following skills:
•Languages Java(expert knowledge), .NET(nice to have), HTML, JavaScript, XML, SQL
•Java J2EE, Struts(a must have), Servlets, JSP, JDBC( a must have), Web Services
•Database SSIS, Stored Procedures, MS SQL Server 2005 (expert knowledge)
•Platforms Windows, Linux
•Programming OOAD(expert knowledge), Networking, Threading, Design Patterns
•Tools Eclipse, MS Visual Studio, CVS
•Financial services experience is required, with emphasis on feed handling (TBF and CBF), Ticketing, Reporting, Trade Settlement and Confirmation processing
•Good understanding of FIX protocol is required (Cameron engine)
•Applied knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies is required

Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations:
•College / University degree - computer science/business or equivalent work experience.
•Canadian Securities Course completion is required
