You will be working as a part of a global (Toronto, London, New York) technology team providing end-to-end development on a variety of technology solutions for the Global Derivatives and Strategic Risks business of a bank.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
Analyze requirements and lead the effort in translating them into a technical design
Lead development effort and coordinate with other technical teams, business analysts, and project managers.
Estimate development times and costs at high level during project initiation
Provide advise and expertise to other areas and projects
Ensure that all development standards are being followed
Provide team members with guidance, feedback, coaching and direction
Participate and contribute to project implementation review

• Stewardship
Identify potential issues/constraints/risks that may impact project success, escalate as appropriate and suggest possible solutions
Ensure quality of product, testability, system stability (integrity)
Ensure all test deliverables are reviewed and signed off
Ensure appropriate test coverage
Identify implementation of improvements

Requirements:
Must Haves:
- C#.NET (3 years)
- C++ (5 years)
- SQL Server 2008/2005
- Financial Derivatives - concepts, products, trading, operations and risk management (1 year)

Nice to have:
- Excel/VBA (2 years)
- Experience with one of the following: Murex, Calypso, SunGard, Wallstreet (1 year)
- Java . J2EE (3 years)
- Sybase/Oracle (2 years)
- Data Synapse or HPC (2 years)

Education:
- University degree in Computer Science, math, engineering or related. Graduate Degree - a definite asset.
